Here's my winning entry to the Sonic and the Black Knight fanart contest.
I was finding it hard to deside whether I should upload this here or not, I'm not sure why, but I was very reluctant. Well it looks like the over winners are, so I figured I'd follow them buy doing it two.
But what's the story behind this picture?

Well, I planned right from the start to draw a game with one of the classic characters on it, so I went to my good friend *Rugalb95 to get a second opinion and exchange ideas.

:iconrugalb95: Rugal has always been supportive towards my art and my major Sonic projects, I can guarantee that I would have never made it this far without his guidance.

Incase you don't know, it's a picture of the classic Game Gear game "Sonic Drift 2"
....and an attempt to get Nack the Weasel/Fang the Sniper to appear in a new game in some form.

The funny thing is both me and Rugal never expected to win. Not becouse of the drawing itself,(although I would think that.) but becouse it's a picture a lesser known game.

Whole contest seemed to be about the older (Sonic R to) thus you winning was inevitable.

Congrats on winning, it's a very cute image, and when it popped up in the game I can safely tell you I did indeed think "Well at least SEGA's acknowledging Nack/Fang did exist still!" Then again they were hardly excluding Drift 2 or Triple Trouble from SADX so yeah, lol. Nice work!

You do have a point. I was really suprised by Sonic R being in, even with the Tails Doll. XP And there was some real awesome Sonic 3 and Knuckles art.

I did see a picture on the SoA blog of Knuckles Chaotix that didn't win. It was pretty cool except it had Vector, Charmy and Espio as how they looked on Sonic Heroes.
...and Sonic and Tails on the Tornado in the background.

Thats funny, that is exactly what my partner in crime Rugal said when I told him I'd won. lol
It was a tough decision to choose which game to pick, it was a coin toss between Drift2/Triple Trouble and Knuckles Chaotix.
And considering that Nack made it to compilations and Mighty didn't. Maybe Knuckles Chaotix would've been a better choise. ^^;
It's been bugging me, and it probably will for the rest of my days, or untill I ferget I ever won a contest, whichever comes first. (Probably the second one) lol
